Our History

Ben Schoen began managing the advertising for the world’s most popular Harry Potter fan site MuggleNet.com in 2005. In a matter of months he had tripled MuggleNet’s income. Working as a publisher, Ben learned the nuance of the online advertising industry and how to turn a site’s traffic into profit. In the spring of 2009 Ben started approaching other websites about advertising services and in October 2009 Essential Hype was born.
